I have an uncle who is a retired HVAC technician.
He is always willing to help someone in need of an HVAC repair for a little extra cash on the side. He spent his life repairing heating and cooling systems and has more experience than most HVAC technicians on the market today. His father was an HVAC technician and owned a well-known local HVAC company. Anytime a local business, restaurant or resident had a heating or cooling concern, my uncle was the first one they called. Before he retired, he had a whole team of certified HVAC technicians working for him. He was no longer the only one able to do the work. He trained many men to do the work for him while he handled the business side of things. Once he retired, he only worked when people he knew needed help. For example, his neighbor called him on Christmas Eve regarding a heating concern. She was anticipating the arrival of her grandchildren for Christmas and the heater was not working in one of the guest bedrooms. Before her guests arrived, my uncle was able to resolve the issue quickly and only charged her for the supplies he needed to repair the broken duct. She was so thankful for his help that she invited him over for Christmas dinner with her family. He accepted the invitation and still made it to his own family dinner. That is just one of the many kind things my uncle has done for people in his retirement.
