I need a new furnace

My furnace is downright ancient.

  • Although it continues to operate, the system is no longer efficient or effective.

My energy bills are a little higher every month, even while comfort diminishes. On especially cold days and nights, the furnace can’t keep up with demand and the house feels chilly. Living in the northeastern part of the country, the heating system is necessary for about eight months of the year. We regularly deal with temperatures below zero, and readings of negative twenty-five degrees aren’t unusual. The furnace typically requires a minor repair every winter. The cost of service and higher running expenses are adding up quickly. Rather than wait for the heater to fail at the worst possible time, I should schedule a replacement in the early fall. I have been researching the most well-known brands of furnace and considering options. The majority of top manufacturers provide very similar models and features. Today’s furnaces achieve up to 98% AFUE ratings. That’s much higher than my current heater could manage when it was brand new. My outdated system is a two-stage model. It can operate at either low or high speed. Modern alternatives include adaptable-speed technology. The output of the furnace automatically increases and decreases in answer to the demands of the home. The system can adjust in one percent increments between forty and one hundred percent capacity. By running longer at lower speeds, the furnace uses less energy and maintains more even temperatures. It also makes less noise, causes fewer concerns with insufficient humidity and suffers less wear and tear. I know that a new furnace will pay for itself and greatly improve comfort, air quality and enjoyment.
