I prefer this time of year for numerous reasons but there are also a few that stress me out.
Spending time with family and friends celebrating and seeing the look on the faces of children when they see Santa are some of the great ones for sure.
Getting the bill from my credit cards after Christmas is one of them that stresses me out. I work hard all year trying to make ends meet and the Christmas shopping bug takes over making me spend my savings that I don’t have. This complication is only made bigger by the added cost of heating my cabin during the cold winter season months as well. My energy bill tends to increase by nearly twenty five percent during the coldest months of winter season and I would particularly like to find a way to decrease that. I went on my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C dealer’s website and followed some of the energy saving tips that they recommended and I am hoping it will help. They recommended that I use that plastic film on my windows and use draft blockers on the exterior doors that I don’t use as much. These were a couple of inextravagant ways to try and keep the moderate air in the house so it can’t hurt to try them. Maybe if I can save some of that twenty five percent it can go towards paying for my gift buying expenses. I particularly need to find a better way to monitor my spending so that I don’t end up tied up beyond belief after the Holiday season. My bank account and restless days from worry would undoubtedly benefit from this change.
