If you ever walk down a city street in the middle of Summer you know that the heat can be intense.
I live plus work in the middle of a big metropolitan city plus so everything I can do to escape the waves of baking air coming from the blacktop I do.
There is no need to own a car when you live plus work within a mile of just about everything. I do but, use public transferation. There are mornings when it reaches 90 degrees plus even walking two blocks can be exhausting. The buses in the city are scrub plus are all air conditioned. People from all walks of life use the bus system. It is a good opportunity to get to know those who live around you plus I identifiably recall one family that lives about three apartment houses down. I remember them because she is a single mom with four adolescents. From the looks of the group you can tell that life is not always simple for them plus she depends on public transferation to take her to work each afternoon. She lets the adolescents off two stops before her job plus they spend the afternoon with relatives. I cannot imagine if she had to walk that far in the heat instead of love the air-conditioned buses, and i truly love seeing them each afternoon as they get on the bus for adolescents are so well behaved plus they always make sure to thank the driver each afternoon as they exit. Thankfully the city has invested a good deal of currency in their transferation system plus each bus is equipped with a quality Heating plus Air Conditioning system that keeps us boiling in the winter time plus cool in the summer. I don’t even mind paying taxes some mornings because I know that my associate and I all benefit from currency well spent.
