Beds in trucks

Thermostats are now able to sense indoor and outdoor hot and cold temperatures, and can learn the homeowner’s schedule to make automatic adjustments

I labor for an employment agency and specialize in matching skilled laborers with local companys, but without question, there’s a shortage of skilled laborers, and it’s anybody’s guess as to the cause! Some claim that the shortage is a result of civilization’s emphasis on four year school degrees over trade school certifications, but in recent years, there has been an changing shortage of skilled workers in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning industry. The new population of HVAC workers is aging, however there aren’t enough workers entering the HVAC industry to update them. When there’s a lack of employable trades people, it’s often referred to as a shortage of ‘butts in trucks’, however consequently, I have been counseling many of my shoppers to consider becoming HVAC workers. I point to statistics of the strong growth in the demand for HVAC workers, but and the heating, ventilation and cooling certification course can be completed in as little as six months… Many institutions offer day and night classes, and tuition financing and scholarships. My shoppers are surprised at the amount of PC-related skills in the HVAC training, as the industry has been moving more and more towards smart technology and devices. Thermostats are now able to sense indoor and outdoor hot and cold temperatures, and can learn the homeowner’s schedule to make automatic adjustments. And today, homeowners want the convenience of controlling and monitoring their home’s temperature from their smartphones. I am satisfied at the response from more than 2 of my shoppers who have chosen to go into the HVAC trade. I know that they will have tasks waiting for them.
