I’m not a fan of fixing things myself.
- However my husband went to a bachelor party for his best friend’s upcoming wedding.
He was gone for four days and in those four days everything broke. I felt obligated to fix everything while he was away. I didn’t want him to come home to a handful of things that needed repairing. I had to go to the hardware store to replace my thermostat. I had an HVAC technician come and take a look at my thermostat since it broke. He insisted on a smart thermostat but I didn’t know what they were. Unfortunately he did not have a model thermostat with him and I wanted to see one before I decided to install it. The HVAC technician recommended that I go to a hardware store and look at the models that are displayed. I did exactly what he told me to do. Once I got there I asked an employee of the hardware store to show me where the smart thermostats were. I had a few questions so I asked him if this would work with my unit he told me that it did and that it was pretty versatile to most HVAC systems. I asked him if it would work with my type of cell phone carrier, but he was unsure. I also asked him if I needed to download an app and he too did not have the answer. So I thanked him for his help and decided to write down the model of the smart thermostat and talk to my HVAC technician about it.
