Humidity Can Mean Mold Growth

I am a real estate agent and I have experienced many homes. I love my job, being able to see the different architecture and design of homes. I’ve seen beautiful homes and I’ve seen dreadful homes that need fixing up. Earlier this week I was fortunate enough to go inside a multi million dollar house. My client’s budget was under 3 million dollars, so we were touring some of the best homes in the area. I was excited since many of my client’s budgets weren’t that high. However just yesterday I saw houses that were the total opposite. The clients that I was dealing with had very little money and you could tell that they weren’t as fortunate as my multi million dollar client. The houses that we went into needed to be fixed up one way or another. The houses were cheap but it met my client’s budget. The one house we went into was musty. Living in a warmer climate of the country, it was easier for mold and must to grow quickly since the houses we were looking at had been on the market for years. As we went into the sunroom I could see signs of mold growing on the walls. I told my client that when they buy their house, they should focus on an HVAC system that focuses on humidity control. This is because with older houses, there tends to be a higher mold growth factor. I gave them a few numbers of local HVAC companies in the area and told them to give them a call once they found the house that they wanted.
