Have you ever purchased a portable heater to help supplement your HVAC system? Many times purchasing one of these units it perfect for a room or small space that just needs a bit more warmth.
Take my laundry room, it always seems to be colder than the rest of the house and when I decided to set up my home office in there I knew I needed to be warm and comfortable.
I really didn’t want to invest in changes to my HVAC system so I decided to check out my options in portable heat. There are many versions on the market and I wanted one that was safe, efficient, and controlled by a built in thermostat. I didn’t want to worry about it starting a fire while I was out of the room either. After looking a coil, ventless propane and a few others I settled on an infrared model that fit all the requirements. It has safety features on it too that sense if the heater is accidentally tipped over or if something is blocking it. It has a shut off trigger that will turn the heat off in the event that there is a problem. That is super important because someone could easily throw some laundry in the room and make either of those happen. The infrared heat feels so warm and cozy too. It seems to radiate through the room and I never even feel a chill in the air. I set the thermostat to seventy degrees and I can even keep the rest of the house at a lower setting which saves me money.
