The kids were gleeful to finally be able to go to the theater & watch a movie again.
It was nice to get out of the house even if the theater popcorn is fancy.
The theater is still practicing social distancing so that is nice. No crowded theater for us. However, the theater must have turned off their Heating & Air Conditioning system for the 6 months that they were closed down entirely. I say that because there was a gross musty smell my enjoyable friend and I observed as soon as my enjoyable friend and I walked into the theater. The smell seemed worse in the lobby than it did in the actual theater part. I can only believe that is what happens when you don’t run the cooling system when you live in a humid temperature like this. It made me a little skeptical of the popcorn however I purchased it anyway. The kids were expecting it after all. But then the movie started & I observed another problem. The cooling system was super loud, but every time the cooling system kicked on it was legitimately noticeable. The movie was turned up super loud (like they consistently are at theaters) however it was still difficult to hear when the air condition was on. Even the kids observed. Overall, it was a legitimately awful experience. My friend and I thought going back to the movie would be magical. It wasn’t & that is all because of the Heating & Air Conditioning system. Between the mold smell & the noisy cooling system I don’t suppose my enjoyable friend and I will be going back. Not to that theater anyway.
