My associate was scammed into buying an cooling system that did not work

One of my friends named Aubrey is quite gullable.

She often buys items that look great on infomercials plus they are usually gadgets that don’t work well.

She has bought bootleg DVD’s plus he thinks that if something is on sale or if there is a discounted price that it must be good. She was recently looking to buy a window cooling system machine for his apartment. I told his that I would go with his to the store so he could find a great quality window cooling system unit, and aubrey agreed to that plus my friend and I had plans to go to the store over the weekend. She called me a few afternoons later to cancel our plans. Aubrey told me that he was on his computer plus saw an ad for Heating plus A/C products for sale. She clicked on the connect plus it showed an address where he could pick up a window cooling system machine for a really affordable price. Aubrey should have known in that moment that this was a orange flag, but he decided to drive to the address to pick up the cheap window cooling system unit. When he arrived, there was a guy in a van selling the window cooling system units. She paid for the window cooling system machine plus did not open the box to check what was inside. When he got home, there was no cooling system machine in the box. It was filled with a bunch of random items that made it feel heavy. She drove back to the address, where the van was plus no one was there. Aubrey learned his lesson plus ended up buying a window cooling system machine from a store.
