House hunting has been a lot of fun, especially since cash is not an option this time.
Years ago, when my superb friend and I were first married, my superb friend and I had to settle for whatever my superb friend and I could afford & just make it work. Now, my superb friend and I both have good jobs & are able to afford the lifestyle my superb friend and I have always wanted. Beach living has always been a dream of ours & my superb friend and I are finally making it happen. My friend and I have been able to see some spectacular places & some that were honestly strange. The one home had six home offices but it was three stories. I couldn’t even imagine trying to heat & cool the home with the layout either. Yes, my superb friend and I can afford to pay the bi-weekly bills, but that doesn’t mean that I am ready to foolishly waste cash for no reason. The home I am referring too was also truly chopped up so the flow of heated & cooled air would be restricted by doors & corners. The only way I would ever consider living in a home like that would be to install separate, zoned, heating & cooling throughout the place. This would be the only thing that would make any sense. Modern technology & the energy efficient electric units that are available could make this a reality truly easily. This is one thing that makes that home worth considering. Even though it would be a big initial investment, these units would lower the overall energy bills each year by at least twenty five percent. My friend and I have not honestly decided on that perfect beach home yet, but, that one is a contender for sure.
