Survival kit for painful menstrual cycles

Many women suffer from painful menstrual cycles every month.

Symptoms include painful cramps, nausea, headaches, irritability, depression, backaches, exhaustion, and mood swings.

Some women have mild cramps that can be treated with over the counter pain killers. Some women have extremely painful cramps from conditions like endometriosis that prescription painkillers can help in some cases. Menstrual cycles can be awful, but there are some tips to help women survive the dreaded time of the month. If you are able to rest at home, the first thing you should do is make sure your home is set to a comfortable temperature. Many women sweat when they are having painful cramps, so the air conditioning may be your best friend in this case. Some women prefer to put the heat on to feel comfort. This also depends on what season it is. If you have a fireplace, it may be a good time for you to light a fire and rest in front of it. You may want to invest in a smart thermostat so you can adjust the temperature on your phone while you are laying down. The next thing you can do is get a heating pad and place that on your lower abdomen while you lay down. Make sure you drink a ton of water and take pain killers. You can also get a heated blanket to lay over you. Most importantly, do what works best for you.I have a friend who has radiant heated floors and laying on the heated floor is the only thing that helps her.
