The AC Would Be Out At Their Daycare

We started sending our kids to a daycare three days a week.

I was sad about sending them to daycare instead of keeping them at home all day every day with me, but I needed the space to work.

I work from home, but I couldn’t get anything done when my kids were awake. I was getting up at 5 in the morning and staying up until late at night just so I could get my work done. This was leaving me tired and burnt out, so my husband and I decided that it was time to put our kids in daycare. Although I miss them during those three days, I’m so much happier and productive because I’m able to work in peace. Last week though, my kids came home with a letter saying that their HVAC system was going to be replaced and it would take one week to install. The letter went into detail about the business of the HVAC company and how it was going to take several days to install the new HVAC equipment. Because of this, there would be no air conditioning at the daycare. The staff was going to do all they could to keep the children cool with portable fans and time at the local swimming pool, but it was optional to send them. Thankfully, they would waive our weekly payment due to the HVAC system replacement. We decided to keep them at home during that week because there was air conditioning at our house. It was nice to have them around again, but I was reminded why we sent them to daycare in the first place.
