My aunt’s heating system went down in the dead of winter.
It just stopped working one night and he woke up frosty and couldn’t get the heating system to turn on, but he called out an Heating as well as A/C corporation.
The specialist asked him how often he swings his filters; My aunt said that his system doesn’t have a filter and the specialist said that that was unlikely. Sure enough, after a little looking around, the Heating as well as A/C specialist found the filter in the attic. My aunt had lived in the house for 5 years and had never once changed the filter because he didn’t know he had one… And so, he had a lot of expensive repair because the clogged filter caused the heating system to burn out inside. The the Heating as well as A/C vents also needed to be professionally cleaned as did the a/c component. He went four days with only space heating system while the specialist tested his system. My aunt felt so stupid that he had ruined the furnace in his first house due to ignorance. Surprisingly, the specialist informed him that his is not a particular situation. The Heating as well as A/C company sees numerous such cases every year. I don’t know that make my aunt feel any better about it though. After he told me what had happened, I tied up service of my heating and a/c device immediately. I change my filter religiously although I wanted to make sure everything else was good. I can’t afford a $2,000 repair bill. I thought I couldn’t afford a service bill either however knowing what I know now, It is simply not worth the gamble. Besides, my bill did not end up being that high.
