The other night I had friends over to watch the Super Bowl. All of my friends and I are big fans of football and when the Super Bowl comes around every year my pal and I go all out. My friend and I will dress in our favorite team’s jerseys and cheer absolutely loud. My friend and I even make all sorts of foods from buffalo chicken wing dips to spinach artichoke dips. Food is a must at our Super Bowl celebration… I’m pretty sure if you named a type of food my pal and I would have it. At the end of the night most of the food will be gone. Unluckyly towards the end of the night I realized that my furnace and heat pump stopped working. I was lucky enough to have this happen towards the end of the night so my guests wouldn’t have to experience uncomfortable room conditions. That night I called my Heating, Ventilation and A/C provider to set up an appointment to have him check my heat pump the next afternoon. I told him that I would like my air-source heat pump either repaired or replaced depending on the severity of the problem. The professional then told me that it was pressing to size the heat pump. He was able to go off of the old heat pump’s size. I asked him what it meant when he said about sizing a heat pump. He replied saying that heat pumps are measured in “tons”. He even factored in the size and energy efficiency of my property to acquire an accurate form of measurement for my heat pump.
